Why Is It So Difficult To Find The Right Treatment For Low Thyroid Function?
I have struggled with low thyroid function and hormonal imbalances myself, and I know how hard it is to find the right treatment.
I believe the reason why it is hard to find the right treatment plan for hypothyroidism is that the old ways of treating low thyroid function have been lost, and doctors nowadays are not taught to listen to the patient’s symptoms, and instead, they go by blood test only.
How to overcome hypothyroid symptoms
After much searching and much failed treatment both from doctors but also alternative treatments, I was extremely lucky to come in contact with an American biochemist, Dr. Ray Peat, and with his guidance. I overcame my symptoms very quickly.
You can read my whole hypothyroidism recovery story, by going to my website www.biochemnordic.com, where you can sign up for the BiochemNordic’s newsletter. In your welcome email, you will get my health story and learn about my symptoms and how diet, supplements, thyroid medication, and natural hormones improved my symptoms.
I have taken what I learned from Dr. Ray Peat, and my own experience with overcoming hypothyroidism and hormonal imbalances and developed online programs, guides, and counseling services. You can learn more about our products in our product overview.
Can changing your diet affect your thyroid?
Dr. Ray Peat made me change my diet completely. I realized that I was eating foods that directly inhibit thyroid function and depriving my body of essential food groups which can promote good hormonal balance.
What is the best medication for hypothyroidism?
Dr. Ray Peat helped me understand and change my thyroid medication to a mixture of T4 and T3. T3 is the active thyroid hormone, that promotes cellular energy production. Whereas T4 is a storage hormone, which is turned into T3 in the body´s tissues.
Most doctors treat hypothyroidism with a T4 (levothyroxine) only medication such as L -Troxin or Synthroid and that can create serious issues of T4 poisoning, as too much T4 has anti-thyroid effects on its own.

Is There side effects of thyroid medication?
When I started up on Thyroid medication, I found it very difficult and in the beginning taking thyroid medication actually worsened my symptoms.
Dr. Ray Peat explained to me that starting up on thyroid medication has to be done very slowly especially if you are severely hypothyroid.
In addition, I learned how using supplementation of the body’s natural hormones pregnenolone and/or progesterone can relieve the negative stress symptoms, which sometimes occur as a result of pushing the metabolic rate to a higher level.
Based on my own hypothyroid treatment recovery experience I have developed online products so you too can overcome your low thyroid symptoms once and for all. All products are presented in our shop.
